Martha Felice Purcell, a Fishkill resident since 1979 and formerly of the Bronx, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026 at White Plains Hospital Center. She was 75.

Daughter of the late Thomas J. and Madeline (DeMeester) O'Hare , she was born in the Bronx on December 1, 1950.

Martha loved animals and was especially fond of the many dogs and cats she rescued over the years. She was a member of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill.

On November 15, 1980, she married Mark C. Purcell. Mark survives at home in Fishkill.

She is also survived by her son, Christopher M. Purcell of Wappingers Falls.

Martha was predeceased by her parents as well as her sister, J. Diane Greenwald (2011).

Visitation will be held from 11: 00am to 12: 00pm on Friday, March 13 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill , Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A committal service will follow at 12: 30pm in the Community Mausoleum at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill, NY.
