Martha M. Woods (Ma) 89, died peacefully at her home on January 12, 2026. She spent her final days surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Born in Brooklyn on February 16, 1936, she was the daughter of the late George and Stephanie (Lawer) Krivosta. On May 11,1957 Martha married Howard S. Woods who predeceased her on September 22. 2006.

Martha worked as a beautician in Manhattan and later on in life as a seamstress for Coast Manufacturing Company in the Bronx. Martha liked nutcrackers, gnomes and turtles. She also loved to play the Wii with her great grandchildren and cards with family and friends. She was the life of every party.

Martha was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Gregory S. Woods his wife Diane, and Donna Fortunato and her husband Robert; her grandchildren, Jamie Dumser and her husband James Dumser Jr., Daniel Woods and Gwendolyn Woods; her great-grandchildren, James Michael Dumser III, Michaela Dumser and Joseph Dumser, Christopher Woods and Delaneie Woods; and her brother, George Krivosta and his wife Elaine as well as their children Anastasia, Paul, and Jason and their families who affectionally called her Aunt Vava. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her brother, William McDevitt, and her grandson, Gregory Woods.

There will be a celebration of Martha's life in the future.
