FISHKILL – Marvin J. Williams, a resident of Fishkill and formerly of the Bronx and Saipan (Northern Mariana Islands), passed away at home on Monday, September 6, 2021. He was 59.

Son of the late Ivory Williams, Sr. and Mary Helen Campbell, he was born in the Bronx on September 14, 1961. Marvin received his bachelor's degree from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK, where he played basketball. He received his law degree from North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC.

He practiced law as Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx for six years and also served as Assistant U.S. Attorney in Saipan. More recently, Marvin served as a lawyer for Children's Rights Society in Goshen.

His hobbies included travel and cuisine, and he loved experiencing new foods. He was a basketball enthusiast who loved to play the game and was an avid New York Knicks fan. He was a member of Vineyard Community Church in Hopewell Junction.

Marvin is survived by his loving wife, AmalynChariss Williams, at home in Fishkill; his brother, Ivory Williams, Jr. and his wife Denise; his sister, Teresa Williams and her husband Robert; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends & colleagues.

He was predeceased by his parents in addition to two sisters, Karen and Maureen Williams.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 10 and from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 11 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday immediately following visitation. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 375 Washington Avenue, Beacon, NY.
