Hopewell Junction – Mary Frances Beattie (nee Barber), 80, departed this life Sunday, June 13, 2021, while at the Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital. She leaves behind her husband of 57 years, Robert J. Beattie, her daughter, Mary E. Solinski, grandson, Jason A. Solinski and her brother, Everett Barber.

Prior to marriage, Mary/Fran was active as a substitute Organist for churches in the Beacon/Fishkill area. In addition to being a loving wife and mother, she had a full-time career with IBM. During her 30 years of employment, she advanced from being a secretary to computer operator to programmer. She enjoyed time with her family, camping, cooking and being active in her church.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or the American Diabetes Association. The funeral will be held on July 31, 2021, at 11:00 am at The Church of the Resurrection in Hopewell Junction.
