POUGHKEEPSIE – Mary H. Budd, 74, died on Monday, July 8, 2013 at home. A native of New York, she had also lived in Homosassa, FL for 14 years.

Born in the Bronx on October 20, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Margaret (Feeney) Sullivan. On September 6, 1958 at St. Anthony’s Church in the Bronx, she married Donald R. Budd. Mr. Budd predeceased her on January 26, 1996.

Mary was an avid reader and was extremely dedicated to her faith. Most of all, her pride and joy were her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Donna Contelmo and her husband James of Pleasant valley; her grandchildren, Jeffrey and Alicia Contelmo; her brothers, Jerry Sullivan and his wife Ann of Haverstraw and Kenny Sullivan and his wife Dorothy of Saddle Brook; her sister-in-law, Carol Rieck of Homosassa, FL; 2 nieces and 2 nephews; and 2 great-nieces and 1 great-nephew. She was also predeceased by her son, Thomas Budd.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 1pm at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by inurnment in St. Denis Cemetery.
