FISHKILL-Mary B. Burt, 86, an area resident for 30 years and formerly of Peekskill, died on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the Wingate at Dutchess.

Born in Manhattan on September 4, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Mike and Wanda (Kowaleska) Kaplish. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Reader's Digest in Chappaqua for many years until her retirement. Mary was a dedicated NY Yankees fan who also enjoyed watching horse races and attending flea markets. An avid golf fan, she especially liked Tiger Woods.

Mary is survived by her children, Linde Burke and her husband Edward of Florida, Manda Russell and her husband Gary of Hopewell Junction, and Charles Burt, IV of Hightstown, NJ; her grandchildren, Shanyn Burke of Kingston, Ashley Lareau of Florida, and Charles Burt, V of New Jersey, and 2 great-grandchildren.
