WAPPINGERS FALLS – Mary A. Celestri, 85, died on December 8, 2023 at The Pines of Poughkeepsie.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland on September 7, 1938, she was the daughter of Daniel and Alice (Killmurray) Grant. Mary worked as a medical billing specialist for Medical Business Associates in Hawthorne. She enjoyed traveling, visiting the Botanical Gardens, nature, flowers and gardening. She was a sweet, giving woman, but also a strong-willed woman who fought for the people that she loved.

Mary is survived by her son Steven V. Celestri and his wife Carmela; her grandchildren, Joseph and Tatiana Celestri; and many nieces and nephews in Australia and Scotland.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a funeral service at 7:30pm.
