Beekman – Mary C. Conroy, 96, died on February 1, 2023 at the Grand at Pawling.
Born in New York City on February 5, 1926, she was the daughter of Patrick and Mary (Gllligan) O'Leary. Mary was a parishioner of St. Denis Church. She enjoyed crafts, especially sewing, knitting, needlework, crossword puzzles, and reading, but more than anything, she loved spending time with her family.
On July 16, 1949 in New York City, Mary married Thomas V. Conroy who predeceased her on August 16, 2011. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Sally Conroy; and her brothers, Joseph and James O'Leary. She is survived by her children, Thomas Conroy, James Conroy, and Patricia Conroy Hewitt; her grandchildren, Kevin, Jasper, Christopher, Daniel, Allison, Thomas, Dylan and Kristen; and her great-grandchildren, Justin, Jasmin, Skylar, Thomas and Noa.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
