Mary Descisciolo, 74, a resident of New Fairfield, CT since 2007 and formerly of Red Hook, NY, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the Rosary Hill Home surrounded by her family.
Born in the Bronx on December 12,1936, she was the daughter of the late Mario and Frances Ferlazzo. Mary was employed as a health aide for the Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck for 10 years until her retirement in 2007. She was a loving, caring person who enjoyed spending time with her family. She had a passion for reading and gardening.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Dolores DiStefano and her husband Michael of Poughquag, NY; her son, Charles DeFrancesco and his wife Debbie of Pineville, NC; her grandchildren, Jessica and Michael DiStefano, Jason and Matthew DeFrancesco; her sisters; Theresa Morelli of New Fairfield, CT and Lucy Wilson of Tivoli; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Dr. Roy Ferlazzo.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
