Hopewell Junction - Mary C. Forbes, 90, an area resident since 1995 and formerly of the Bronx, died on January 23, 2019 at MidHudson Regional Hospital.

Born on May 26, 1928 in Manhattan, Mary was the daughter of Gaetano and Anna (Parlato) Corsaro. She had been employed as a cashier for the Grand Union in the Bronx for many years. She was a parishioner of St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction where she was also a member of the Loving Hands Knitting Group.

On February 5, 1955 in the Bronx, Mary married John "Jack" Forbes who predeceased her on March 12, 2002. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Robert and Maureen Forbes, and Michael and Frances Forbes; her daughter, Jacqueline Forbes; her grandchildren, Patricia and John, Stephanie, Adam and Samantha, Susan, Jason and Laura; and her great-grandchildren, Davis, Kaitlin, Brennan, Keegan and Caden.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 9-11am at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 11:30am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
