Mary Sue
Hessick
February 5, 1956 – November 3, 2024
Mary Sue Hessick, 68, of Lancaster, PA and formerly of Hopewell Junction, NY with family at her side peacefully entered into eternal life and reunited with the love of her life, Carl, on November 3, 2024.
Mary Sue was born February 5, 1956 to Richard and Joan Leszczynski. She attended the University of Detroit where she met her soulmate, Carl, her freshmen year, whom she married in May 1980. Together, they raised three amazing children. Family meant the most to her and she found the greatest joy in being a wife and mother. She was the rock of the family, the one who made a house a home.
Mary Sue was a loving, compassionate, and caring woman who cherished her family, her friends, and her relationship with God. She often reminded her children to show kindness to all, to give others a second chance, to cherish the small things in life, and above all, to always put family first. Mary Sue was a woman of many talents. She was a gifted singer and guitarist, a talented seamstress, an extraordinary crafter and card maker, and an excellent cook.
Mary Sue was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Carl, her parents, and her beloved dog, Scout. She is survived by her children, Dr. Christopher Hessick of Albany, NY, Dr. Catherine Hessick of Lancaster, PA, and Michael (Allison) Hessick of Allentown, PA, her sisters, Janine (Rick) Strong and Sandy (Rich) May, her aunt, Judy Glendening, and her adorable granddog, Heilani.
