Mary Patricia Just, 65, a resident of Hopewell Junction since 1992 and formerly of Yonkers, died on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx.
Born in Ireland on February 12, 1947, she was the daughter of Mary Treanor Kearney of Cold Spring and the late Patrick Kearney. She was employed as a secretary for the Astor Home for Children until her retirement in 2008. She enjoyed gardening and antiquing.
On October 21, 1978 in Queens, Mary married Joseph Just who survives at home. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her daughters, Amanda Just of Manhattan and Christina Amado and her husband Scott of Matthews, NC; her siblings, Margaret Cafarella of PA, Bernard Kearney of FL, Ann Kearney of Pleasantville, Thomas Kearney of Yonkers and Barbara Alexander of Pearl River; many nieces and nephews; and her first grandson who is due to be born at the end of the month. Mary deeply loved her family and will forever be remembered as a loving mother, wife, daughter and sister.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11am at the funeral home.
