WAPPINGERS FALLS – Mary D. Ricciardi, 79, an area resident for 23 years, died on January 18, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She previously lived in Yonkers.
Born in Yonkers on August 4, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Antoinette M. (Perrone) LaConte. On June 9, 1957 at St. Mary's Church in Yonkers, she married Anthony Ricciardi who survives at home. Mary had been employed as a sales clerk at H.L. Green Department Store in Yonkers for many years. She was a member of DAV Auxiliary Castle Point #144 Chapter.
In addition to her husband of 58 years, Mary is survived by her children, Theresa Sceppaquercia of Stephentown, Anthony Ricciardi, Jr. of North Greenbush, Antoinette Harrison and her husband Michael of Fishkill, Charles Ricciardi of Hopewell Junction, and Nicholas Ricciardi of Wappingers Falls; her grandchildren, Mark, Dominic, Nicole, Anthony III, Michael, Christie, Charles Jr., Domenick, and Michelle; her half sister, Diane Zielinski; her half brothers, Daniel and Charles LaConte; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son-in-law, Mario Sceppaquercia in 2008 and her sister, Madeline Osika.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 am at the funeral home followed by entombment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
