Mary Catherine "Kay" Sinkkanen, 83, an area resident since 1975 and formerly of Sydney, Australia, died on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Sydney, Australia on November 21, 1929, she was the daughter of Patrick F. and Kathleen M. Moroney Pegum. Kay loved living in Lomala where she was an active member of the Lomala Civic Association.

Kay was predeceased by her husband, Victor Sinkkanen. She is survived by her brother, James Pegum and his wife Elaine of Australia; her nieces, Cathy Maxwell and her husband David of Nottingham, United Kingdom and Nicola Delimihalis and her husband Tarki of Sydney, Australia; and her nephews, Richard Pegum and his wife Donna of Sydney, Australia, Patrick Pegum and his wife Rachael of Sydney, Australia and Michael Pegum of Sydney, Australia.
