STORMVILLE – Mary Ann Smith, 75, an area resident since 1976, died on November 24, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Peekskill on February 7, 1943, Mary Ann was the daughter of the late William and Mary Sawchuk.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Smith and Danielle of Stormville; her sister-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and many loving friends, especially the women of the Stormville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Smith in 2003; her siblings; and her longtime friend, Bob, who she enjoyed camping with. Bob’s family remained in Mary Ann’s life as close friends.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11:30 am at St. Denis Cemetery, 604 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction.
