Mary Winifred Stein, 89, a resident of Wappingers Falls since 1968 and formerly of Adams, MA, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 28, 2009.

Born in New York City on June 15, 1920, she was one of the five children of John and Margaret O'Reilly Glennon.  She was a graduate of St. Joseph's College and Fordham School of Law.  She was a self-employed Attorney.  She was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction.

Mary is survived by her husband, Donald Francis Stein, at home; her sons, William Stein and his wife, Marguerite of East Fishkill and Joseph Stein and his wife, Susan of Yorktown; and her granddaughters, Margaret, Rachel and Joan Stein of East Fishkill.

Callings hours will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
