Mary Ann Stokas, 84, an area resident since 1990 and formerly of Yonkers, died on July 11, 2021 at St. John's Riverside Hospital.

Born in Yonkers on October 29, 1936, she was the daughter of Claire and Lucy (Thomas) Darling. An avid Yankee fan, Mary Ann enjoyed gardening, drawing, cleaning, crocheting and bowling.

On June 5, 1955 in Yonkers, Mary Ann married John Stokas who predeceased her on January 1, 1990. She is survived by her children, Donna Giancotti, Chris Stokas and Alex Stokas and his wife Samantha; her grandchildren, Jason, Christopher, Corey, Nicholas, Cody and Brian; and her great-grandchildren, Avery and Riley. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her daughter, Katherine Stokas; son-in-law, Lance Giancotti; grandson, Matthew Giancotti; and sister, Patricia Roth.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a funeral service at 5:30pm. Interment will be on Thursday at 11am at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
