Mary Margaret Tierney (nee Greenan) of Hopewell Junction, formerly of Mount Vernon and Manhattan, age 77, passed away on July 1, 2022. She was born on November 21, 1944 in Aghabog, Monaghan, Ireland to parents James and Mary Greenan.

Mary had a zest for life, culture, the arts, entertaining and traveling. After working for KLM Airlines for over 30 years and running a catering business, Mary graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 2004 with her Master of Arts degree. She was self-employed as a Geriatric Care Manager for many years afterward. Throughout her lifetime, Mary traveled all around the world including back and forth to her birthplace of Ireland with family and friends. She was the matriarch of the Greenan Family and will be profoundly missed.

Mary is survived by her loving brothers John P. Greenan (Margaret Greenan) and Richard Greenan (Rosemarie Greenan); and many cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews whom she loved dearly and enjoyed spending much time with.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 16 at 10:00am at Saint Kateri Church 1925 Route 82 Lagrangeville, NY 12540.
