Mathew J. Augeri, 82, a resident of Wappingers Falls since 1995 and formerly of Flushing, Queens, died on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at the Elant at Wappingers.
Born in Queens on January 16, 1928, he was the son of Joseph and Nancy DeAndria Augeri. He was employed in mechanical drawing for Orbit in Brentwood, NY for 40 years until his retirement in 1990. He was a parishioner of St. Columba Church, Hopewell Junction.
On July 11, 1959 in Queens, Mathew married Rita Conti who survives at home. He is also survived by his sisters, Anna Dragan and Joan Galvin; his brother, Vincent Augeri; his sister-in-law, Theresa Augeri; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
