FISHKILL – Maxine Mae Patane, a Fishkill resident since 2000 and formerly of Yorktown Heights, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the Wingate at Beacon Health Care Facility. She was 92.

Daughter of the late Lyman H. and Genetta (Birdsall) Dingman, she was born in Sioux Falls, SD on April 20, 1927. She later relocated to New York City after meeting her husband. On May 14, 1944, she married John C. Patane, who predeceased her in 2009.

Maxine had an unimaginable will to live and endured all adversities, regardless of her health or wellbeing, and fought up until the very end. She was known to many as a "cat with (more than) 9 lives". Above all else, Maxine will be remembered as a truly dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her children: Marie Page & her husband Buzz of Yorktown Heights, Rosetta Davis of Lincolndale, Jeanne Shaffer & her husband John III of Tuscon, AZ, Pauline Roberts & her fiancé Joseph Stollsteimer of Schodack, and John Patane of Fishkill; her grandchildren: Michael Page & his wife April, Kenny Page and his wife Kristen, Lianne Lotaj & her husband Jay, Evan Page & his wife Kimberly, Zanzia Terjesen & her husband Timothy, Alexandar Davis & his wife Ania, John Shaffer, IV and his wife Christina, Leah Shaffer, Heather Enniri & her husband Fouad, and Kristian Kallesten; her great-grandchildren: Arthur, Gabriel, Charlton, Emily, Jake, Lilianna, Madison, Lena Marie, Kiernan, Parker, Eleanor, William, Christoffer, Ava, Annell, Adam, Hayden, John (V), Maryam, and Amina; as well as many other loving relatives & friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Maxine was also predeceased by her son, Frank Patane, in 2014; as well as her brothers and sisters.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 21 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 22 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Interment will follow at St. Raymond Cemetery in the Bronx.
