Meaghan Maureen Murphy, a lifelong local area resident, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, April 6, 2014. She was 22.
She was born in Cold Spring on October 22, 1991 and attended local schools. She graduated from Beacon High School in 2009 and later enrolled in Dutchess BOCES. For the last two years, Meaghan worked as a Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist for Mount Kisco Medical Group at their offices in Peekskill and Ossining.
Meaghan was the loving mother of Kyleigh Murphy whom she cherished more than anything in the world. She is also survived by her mother, Suzanne Seaman Murphy and her fiancé, Micah Tompkins of Clinton Corners; her father, Michael Murphy and his friend Cheyene Sullivan of Beacon; her brother, Patrick Murphy & his girlfriend Dana Carlson of Beacon; her sister, Caitlin Murphy & her boyfriend John Mendonsa of Rhode Island; her niece, Kelsey Murphy; her grandmother, Maureen Cross of Beacon; and her aunts and uncles, Stacey & Eric Bartos, Stephanie & Brian Knight, Sharyn & Joseph Zibrida, Craig & Laura Seaman, Bill Murphy, Thomas & Denise Murphy, Mark Murphy, Hope Murphy, and Marianne O'Connor. She is also survived by many beloved cousins and close friends.
Meaghan was predeceased by her grandparents, Patrick Cross and Shirley & Thomas Murphy.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 10 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 11 at St. Joachim Church, 51 Leonard Street, Beacon. Interment will be private.
