Michael Cherundolo, a resident of Fishkill for the past four years, passed away at home on October 30, 2022. He was 87.

Michael was born in New York City on February 12, 1935, the son of Michael and Mary (Ippolito) Cherundolo.

On October 4, 1958, he married the love of his life, Rosemarie Filichko. She survives at home.

Michael proudly served his country in the United States Navy and the United States Army during the Korean War. His dedication to the service of others brought him to the NYPD, where he retired as a Detective.

Michael loved to play pool and was very good at it. He was an excellent husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his wife Rosemarie, Michael is survived by his son George & his wife Barbaralynn of Poughquag, NY; his granddaughters, Gabriella and Julia Cherundolo; and his brother, Anthony Suglia.

He was pre-deceased by his parents as well as his sister, Anne Fumanti.

Calling hours will be on Friday November 4, 2022, from 2pm to 5pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, with a service at 4:30pm followed by Military Honors.
