Michael R. Coles, a longtime resident of Fishkill, NY and Beacon, NY, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, at Hudson Valley Hospice House, surrounded by his loving family. He was 66 years old.

Born on December 20, 1958, in Quonet Point, North Kingstown, Rhode Island, Michael was the son of the late Robert and Marie (Lee) Coles. On October 11, 1998, he married the love of his life, Lorraine (Jackson), in Fishkill. She survives him at home.

Michael dedicated 27 years of service to St. Francis Hospital & Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY, working in the Transportation Department. He was known for his hard work, warm spirit and humor, and the sunshine he brought to both coworkers and patients alike. Always ready with a smile, he touched the lives of many through his kindness and unwavering dedication.

A true sports enthusiast, Michael was a devoted fan of the New York Mets and the Washington Redskins. He rarely complained-unless the Mets lost a game. He also enjoyed taking trips to the casino and spending time with those he loved.

In addition to his beloved wife, Lorraine, Michael is survived by his loving stepchildren, grandchildren, sisters, sister-in-law as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and one sister.

At this time, all services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Michael will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
