Obituary

Michael J. Colucci, 67, a resident of Hopewell Junction since 1977 and formerly of Peekskill, died on July 18, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Peekskill on September 6, 1948, he was the son of Michael and Evelyn Bottos Colucci. Michael was the owner and operator of M&M Powerwash in Hopewell Junction for 30 years until his retirement in 2009. He was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction and the Past President of the Joe DiMaggio Lodge, Sons of Italy. An avid golfer, he was a starter at Brenton Woods Golf Course for many years. He was a devoted fan of both the New York Jets and Mets, and spent many years coaching his sons' baseball teams.

On June 15, 1969 in Peekskill, Michael married Marie Castrovinci who survives at home. He is also survived by his children and their spouses, Michael Colucci of Fishkill, Brian and Patricia Colucci of Wappingers Falls, Christopher and Jennifer Colucci of Hopewell Junction, and Jennifer and Aaron Vignogna of Poughquag; his grandchildren, Dennis, Dominic, Joseph, Isabella, Luca and Matteo; his brother and sister-in-law, Vincent and Joy Colucci of Poughquag; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
