Michael
Delgado
July 6, 1969 – November 2, 2024
Michael Anthony Delgado was a marvelous, wonderful and charismatic soul. He was born on July 6, 1969 to Irida Rodriguez-Delgado which they called Tina, and Harry Smith at Bronx Lebanon Hospital.
Michael also known as "Tru Aka Papi Chulo" for short was raised in The Bronx, Roosevelt and Freeport (where he attended most of his schooling). He also resided in his mother's hometown of Coamo, Puerto Rico. Michael would joke about being in school in Puerto Rico knowing all the English answers because he was bilingual.
Michael grew up with three amazing loving talented brothers. Will (Children William Jr., Leslie and Tavonne) was the oldest followed by Michael, Joe (Children Keonte, Alexis, Isaiah, and Justin) and Al (Children Alex, ILona, and Natalie).
Michael was a family man. He was a loving father to his four children, Whitney Monique Mcglasker 36, Michelle Ashley Delgado 32, Mone't Imani Delgado 31, Michael Anthony Delgado 16; and stepdaughters, Shanté Simpson and Tamaya Atkins. Michael also had 3 amazing grandchildren, Noah, Nicholas and Naomi.
Michael enjoyed fixing cars. He also had a need for speed and that is where his love for motorcycles came into play. Michael knew how to put on that chef's hat and go to work in that kitchen. He had a series of skills which led him to work in plumbing with his brother Al in Upstate New York. He also worked with Joe on a new business venture creating a moving company in Atlanta called Palace Movers. Michael also worked with a construction company named Hard Hat and helped build Northlake Mall in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Michael Anthony Delgado spent his adult life living in Charlotte, North Carolina, Greensboro, North Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia. Michael was full of life and loved to make people laugh. He loved God, and he loved his family to pieces. His favorite Scripture in the Bible was Job. Michael had a thing for the mirror because he knew he was blessed and that is why he's Papi Chulo. Michael Anthony Delgado had an amazing fulfilled life, and his legacy will forever live on through his family and friends. He will forever be remembered through us.
