HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Michael Francis Duane, of Hopewell Junction and formerly of the Bronx, passed on September 14, 2011 at the age of 81.
Mickey is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Rose, and his children, Mary Ann, Cathy, Patricia, and Michael. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Martin and grandson, Pierce as well as nieces and nephews, Michael Hanvey, Ann Hanvey, Maureen Hanvey DelGuidice, and James Hanvey. He was predeceased by his son, Gerard; sister, Mary Hanvey and brother-in-law, Hugh Hanvey.
Mickey was a retired U.S. Postal Inspector and served with the Wolfhounds in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He will be dearly missed by all.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 12pm at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla with Military Honors.
