Michael Esterly, a Wappingers Falls resident for 27 years and previously of Peekskill, died peacefully at home on October 29, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. He was 61.

Michael was born in Peekskill on July 7, 1959 to the late Howard and Blanche (Booth) Esterly.

On November 7, 1981, Michael married the love of his life, Theresa (Morey), she survives at home. Michael proudly dedicated 38 years of his life to Burnwell/Crestwood, a propane company in Montgomery.

Michael was passionate and knowledgeable about late model cars and he loved spending time with his loving family and friends. He will be remembered for his generosity, kind heart and his hilarious sense of humor.

Survivors also include his three wonderful daughters, Kristal, Michelle, Jenna and her fiancé, Anthony Coffey; his grandson, Ayden; his brother Howard (Butch) Esterly and his wife, Cindy; his sister, Linda Stellwagon and her husband, Donald; his brother, Richard Esterly; his nephews, Howard and Donald; and his nieces, Brenda, Jessica, Kimberly, and Jean Seymour and her husband, Jimmy, and their children, Vanessa and Samantha.

The family would like to thank Petal, Javier, Ricky, and Ron-Jay, the extraordinary nurses from Hospice, for the love and compassion they showed Michael.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 2, 2020 from 4-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc. 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. Interment will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Fishkill Rural Cemetery 801 Route 9 South Fishkill, New York
