Wappingers Falls- Michael Anthony Fermicola, age 80, passed away on July 26, 2023 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was born on January 16, 1943 in New York, NY to the late Nicholas and Mariette (DeLouise) Fermicola. On April 23, 2008, he married his love Barbara (DeMay) Fermicola. They have been together since 1980.

Michael proudly served our country in the United States Army. He worked as a Construction Project Manager for Housing Preservation and Development in NYC. In his spare time, Michael loved reading and doing crossword puzzles, and all kinds of animals, especially dogs. He lived for spoiling his grandchildren. He greatly enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren and nieces.

Michael is survived by his loving wife Barbara Fermicola; his stepdaughter Deborah Clifford and her husband Joseph; his stepson James Bowen and his wife Lisa; his grandchildren Joseph Clifford, Jr. and his wife Jennifer, April Clifford, William Biersack, and Samantha, Mikayla, and Emily Bowen; his great grandchildren Henry, Roland and Arthur; his siblings Carrie Sergio, Eleanor Grieco, Florence "Tiggy" Martino, MaryLou Aviles, and Anthony Fermicola; and his nieces Mariette, Nicole and Gabrielle.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday July 30, 2023 from 1-3 and 5-7 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc. 1089 Main St. Fishkill, NY. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday July 31, 2023 at 10 am at the funeral home, followed by burial at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill, NY.
