Michael R. Haeser, 65, a resident of Poughquag for 28 years and formerly of the Bronx, died on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Yonkers on August 7, 1948, he was the son of John Peter and Erika Blickmeyer Haeser. He proudly served our country in the US Air Force as a Staff Sergeant and was employed as a switchman and manager for Verizon in the Bronx for 30 years until his retirement in 1998. A former Boy Scout, Michael enjoyed camping and salt water fishing.
On June 5, 1971 in the Bronx, Michael married Rosemary G. Leone who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Erika Haeser of Poughkeepsie, Michael R. Haeser II and his wife Tracy of Highland, and John Peter Haeser III of Poughquag; his grandsons, William Michael, Evan Robert and Zachary Edward; and his sister, Nancy Tillen.
