BEEKMAN- Michael David Lent, a resident of Yorktown Heights, died at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY on July 2, 2023. He was 54.

Born on December 11, 1968, in Pittsfield, MA, he was the son of Richard and Sonja (Rancin) Lent.

Michael was a huge fan of SpongeBob SquarePants. He enjoyed the Dukes of Hazard as well. Michael also enjoyed listening to music, bowling, swimming, and playing basketball. He loved all animals, especially cats and dogs. He also participated in the Special Olympics.

Survivors include his parents Richard and Sonja Lent; his sister Jennifer Lent-Harrison and her husband Chuck; his aunt Jeannette Cetnarowski, his uncle John Rancin; his uncle and godfather, Gerhard Rancin; his godmother Doris Zalucki; his aunt, Heidi Rancin; his aunt Kathy Kall; his aunt Karen Kall; and many other family members.
He was predeceased by his uncle, David Rancin.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 11am to 1pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction on Thursday at 1:30pm. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations may be made in Michael's name to the Special Olympics.
