BEEKMAN – Michael Christopher Lopez, 42, an area resident for 8 years and formerly of Westchester County and the Bronx, died on August 13, 2024.

Born in Paterson, NJ on May 17, 1982, he was the son of Peggy Colon and the late Heriberto Lopez.

Mike was employed for 15 years by Mavis Discount Tires. He was very dedicated to his job and he loved to mentor people especially those who needed that extra guidance. He was currently the manager in the Cortlandt Manor location when he passed; however, he worked in countless stores in multiple managerial positions throughout his career.

Mike loved to reminisce about all the good times. He always knew how to make people feel special. He was a very affectionate person, and was someone you could always count on. He was always there if you needed him, no matter what, when or where.

Mike loved his beer!! Everyone knew that! Mike had a love for music especially during his DJing days! A diehard fan of the New York Yankees and New England Patriots, he also enjoyed golfing and motorcycles. He will forever be remembered for his sneakers and matching hats! But more than anything, Mike loved his kids and he loved showing them off any chance he could get!

On September 25, 2015 at Assumption Church in Peekskill, Michael married the love of his life, Nicole Calcutti, who survives at home. In addition to his wife and mother, he is also survived by his children, Elyse, Aubrey and Michael "Mikey"; his brother, Josh Colon; and many other loving family members, co-workers and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at 11am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction.
