Fishkill- Michael S. Merola, a long-time resident of Fishkill, NY, passed away at home on July 19, 2025. He was 43 years old.

Michael was born on November 29, 1981, the son of Steven and Mary (Swink) Merola.

He attended John Jay High School.

Michael loved to spend time outside. He enjoyed skiing, playing hockey and cooking and visiting his favorite place, Cape Cod.

He was a selfless man who loved to meet new people and make new friends and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Michael was an alumnus of St. Christophers Inn, in Garrison, NY where he made some wonderful friends throughout his time there.

Michael is survived by his loving mother Mary Merola, his sister Liane Delgado along with James Butler, Cameron and Ryder Butler, and his aunts and Uncles: Judith and Daniel Glum, Robert and Marcel Merola and Lori Swink along with many cousins and friends.

He is predeceased by his father Steven and brother-in-law Michael Delgado.

Calling hours will be Thursday, July 24, 2025, at McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill Inc. 1089 Main Street Fishkill, NY from 4pm - 7pm. A service will take place in the funeral home that evening at 6:30pm.
