Poughkeepsie- Michael J. Reddy, a resident of Poughkeepsie, NY since 1996, passed away on December 22, 2024. He was 60 years old.
Michael was born on October 2, 1964, in Sleepy Hollow, NY, the son of the late Robert and Frances (Tietjen) Reddy.
He was raised in Ossining, NY, and attended Ossining High School, graduating in 1982.
On April 13, 1996, he married the one true love of his life Teresa (Dubiel) at Holy Cross Church in Sleepy Hollow, NY. In 2001, they welcomed their greatest blessing, their daughter Kaitlyn Olivia. His family was the center of his life, and they will carry on his incredible legacy.
Michael loved the outdoors. He was an avid car enthusiast, attending many car shows throughout his life, and was very proud of his 1966 Ford Fairlane. He made friends wherever he went, and he made a lasting and meaningful impact on the life of everyone he met. He loved being "Uncle Mike" to his great nieces, Dakota and Peyton. He loved his family fiercely, especially his "two best girls"- his wife Teresa and daughter Kaitlyn.
In addition to Teresa and Kaitlyn Reddy, Michael is survived by his twin brother Robert Reddy Jr. and his wife Annie, his sisters Tina Reddy (Sister Bethany Rita), Cindy Reddy and Robin A. Reddy, his brother-in-law Eugene Dubiel and his wife Maureen, his nephew Mark Dubiel and his wife Ashley, his niece Krystyna Dubiel and her fiancé Daniel Simmons, his nephew Robert Reddy III, his great nieces Dakota and Peyton Dubiel, as well as cousins and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Robert and Frances, Michael is pre-deceased by his Mother and Father in law, Zdzislaw and Adela Dubiel, his niece Carol Lynn Reddy, brothers in law Zenon Dubiel and Mario Dubiel, his sister in law Irene Dubiel, and his great niece, Zoey Simmons.
His family would like to thank Michael's medical team at Lenox Hill Hospital for caring for him and his family with such compassion.
Calling hours will be Friday December 27, 2024, from 4pm – 8pm the at McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, NY. 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday December 28, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church 11 Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls, NY at 10am, Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls, NY.
