Michael Patrick Shanny - February 23, 1970 to December 15, 2021. Michael was laid to rest on December 22, 2021 after a beautiful Mass at St. Columba. He died at home, with his mom at his side holding his hand. A private service and burial was held, and his family mourns what came way too soon.

Many friends knew and loved him. The last few years have been particularly difficult for him, physically, mentally, and emotionally. He has been relieved of his pain, and, for that, all are grateful. Please think of him and his family as they navigate this difficult time.

Michael is survived by his mother, Pat, her dear friend Maria Whalen who helped care for him, enabling him to stay home, his father, Frank (Donna), his siblings, Frank (Lihua), Brian (Rania), Mariann (Scott Fisher), his nieces and nephews, Amber Brooke Shanny, Mathis Rodrigues, Logan Shanny, Michael Shanny, Danielle Shanny, Aidan Fisher, and Grady Fisher.

Michael was very humorous and witty, kind to everyone. He worked in the community since age 16, retiring after more than 25 years from All Sport Fishkill. Michael played soccer and baseball on local teams, was in Boy Scouts, was an altar server at St. Columba, and thoroughly enjoyed socializing.
