Michael J. Tecklenburg, 39, a resident of Florida for the last 7 years, died on November 4, 2017.

Born in Goshen on August 13, 1978, he was the son of John Tecklenburg and Jody Cleveland. Michael was employed as a bartender at the Elbo Room in Fort Lauderdale Beach Dive Bar. He was an ironman who lived and loved fiercely.

Michael is survived by his mother, Jody Cleveland and her wife Jeanne Icolari of Fishkill; his father, John Tecklenburg and his wife Christine of Washingtonville; his siblings, Bryan Tecklenburg of Wappingers Falls, Jennifer Magur of Newburgh, Claudine Zigmund of CT, Johnny and Joey Tecklenburg of Washingtonville, and Michael, Theresa and Sara Skelly of Wappingers Falls; his niece and nephews, Samara, Benjamin and Aaron Zigmund; and his aunt, uncle and cousins, Gail, Greg, Christopher and Alexander Abanavas.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill.
