Obituary

Milan Paul Belon, 62, a resident of Dutchess County since 1970, died on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at the Castle Point VAMC.
Born in New York City on July 28, 1949, he was the son of Milton and Susan Halgush Belon. He proudly served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. A self-employed heating specialist for 30 years, he had also worked for Ryan Oil and Pilot Oil. He was a parishioner of St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction and enjoyed reading and fishing.
Milan is survived by is children, Jared Belon and his wife Nancy of Poughkeepsie, Michael Belon of Poughkeepsie, Cassondra Belon of Hyde Park and Jesse Belon of Hyde Park; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Carter and Ava Belon; his siblings, Frances Lombardi of Brooklyn, Robert Belon of Queens and Marlene Porter of Porter's Corners; his former wives, Therese Smith of Poughquag and Cynthia Belon of Hyde Park; his special friends, Steven Zemko and Jim Moore; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Belon.
Milan's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Castle Point for their care and support during his illness.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery with military honors.
