WAPPINGERS FALLS – Mildred Corbin, 83, a lifelong area resident, passed away peacefully at her home on January 20, 2024.

Born in Poughkeepsie on May 31, 1940, Mildred was the daughter of the late Thomas and Edith (Cole) Van Vlack. On June 6, 1956 at the New Hackensack Reformed Church, she married Donald M. Corbin who predeceased her in 2012.

Mildred enjoyed doing arts and crafts. She was an avid gardener who liked spending time in the nursery and flowering. More than anything, she cherished the time she spent with her family.

Mildred is survived by her children, Donald Corbin of Wappingers, Chris and Mary Corbin of Wappingers, Wayne Corbin of Wappingers, Mark Corbin of Wappingers, and Cindy Corbin of Florida; her 7 grandchildren; her 16 great-grandchildren; her brother, Donald Van Vlack; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was also predeceased by her sisters, Ruth and Molly; and her brother, Ike.
