POUGHQUAG – Mildred R. Davis, 73, a lifelong area resident, died on September 5, 2022 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born on July 4, 1949 in Poughkeepsie, Mildred was the daughter of the late Gordon and Linda (Ellison) Baker. She worked alongside her family in their business for many years. Mildred will be remembered by her family and friends as giving and loving person who always put the needs of others before hers. She especially loved her family, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Mildred is survived by her husband of 56 years, Edward R. Davis; her children, Denise Davis Kraus and her husband Bobby and Brent Davis and his wife Kelly; her grandchildren, Riley, Luke, Brett, and Ryan; her sisters, Linda Verdon and Wanda Gee and her husband Keith; her sisters-in-law, Cheryl Kroll and her husband Richard, Lisa Davis, and Debbie Davis; her brother-in-law, Ronnie "Skip" Davis and his wife Rania; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mildred was also predeceased by her siblings, Homer "Pokey" Baker, Bobby Baker, and Jackie Verdon.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5 – 8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by a funeral service at 8 pm. Burial will be private.
