Mildred A. Skolinsky, 88, a resident of Poughkeepsie for six years and formerly of Yonkers, died on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Yonkers on February 5, 1923, she was the daughter of Angelo and Anna Montemurro. Mildred was employed by Dellwood Foods in Yonkers for 25 years until her retirement in 1989 and she loved playing Bingo.
On December 2, 1945 in Yonkers, Mildred married Walter Skolinsky who died on March 22, 1989. She is survived by her children, Patricia Kittelstad of Yonkers, Donald Skolinsky of Wappingers Falls, Robert Skolinsky of Wappingers Falls and Gary Skolinsky of Mount Vernon; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11 am at Mount Hope Cemetery in Hastings-on-Hudson. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
