Obituary

MILLBROOK – Morris Kohn, 96, an area resident since January 2012 and formerly of Long Island, died on Monday, October 14, 2013 at home.

Born in Newark, NJ on August 30, 1917, he was the son of the late Nathan and Ann Kohn. He proudly served our country in the US Army during World War II.
On December 6, 1946 in Oyster Bay, Morris married Sarah Western who survives at home. He was employed in the purchasing department at Grumman Aircraft in Bethpage for 30 years until his retirement in 1981.

Morris had served as Assistant Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop 305. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Carle Place, LI. An avid golfer, he also enjoyed politics.
In addition to his loving wife of almost 67 years, Morris is survived by his sons, Stephen Kohn and his wife Sue of San Diego, CA and Russell Kohn and his wife Karen of Hopewell Junction; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Joanna, Eric, Robert, Gregory, Kierstin, and Philip "Max"; and his great-grandchildren, Sophia, William, Alex, Owen, Nate, Henry, and Morgan.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 10am at the funeral home followed by interment at Nine Partners Cemetery in Millbrook with military honors.
