WAPPINGERS FALLS - Nancy A. Vena, 53, an area resident since 1987 and formerly of Croton-on-Hudson, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer.
Nancy was born in White Plains on August 9, 1961. She had been employed as a sales clerk at Kay Jewelers at the Poughkeepsie Galleria for many years.
Nancy is survived by her sons, Chris Vena and his wife Renae of Wappingers Falls and Joseph Vena and his girlfriend Melody Williams of Wappingers Falls; her grandchildren, Ryan and Alexa Vena; her brother, Mark Avile of Florida; and her grandmother, Nancy Quinn of Florida. She was predeceased by her mother, Joan Homeyer.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 10am – 12 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by a funeral service at 12 pm.
