STAATSBURG – Nand Kaur Bhangu, 95, a resident of the United States since 1987, died at 2:20 am on July 21, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in India on May 18, 1923, Nand was the daughter of the late Inder Singh Mandher and Kauri Kaur Mandher. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Bhag Singh Bhangu and Jaswinder Kaur, Labh Singh Bhangu and Gurjit Kaur, Sahib Singh Bhangu and Kamaljit Kaur, Ajaib Singh Bhangu and Manjit Kaur, Nirmal Singh Bhangu and Swarnjit Kaur, and Jasbir Kaur Naina and Balkar Singh Naina; her 15 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Nand was predeceased by her husband, Niranjan Singh Bhangu in March 2005.

Nand was a longtime member of the Mid-Hudson Sikh Cultural Society.

Funeral services will begin at 9am on Saturday, the 28th of July, at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. The funeral procession will depart from the funeral home at 10:30 am for the cremation ceremony at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
