Obituary

Naomi W. Jamieson, 86, a resident of the Town of LaGrange since 1950 and formerly of Johnson City, died on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at her home.
Born in Binghamton on October 22, 1925, she was the daughter of Edward and Florence Fox Wells. She attended ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Briarcliff College where she was the class valedictorian. She and her husband owned and operated Dutchess House, Inc. for many years. Naomi was a member of the New Hackensack Reformed Church and a former member of the Poughkeepsie Rotary Club. While residing in Florida, she attended the Kathleen United Methodist Church.
On August 12, 1949 in Johnson City, Naomi married George L. "Hap" Jamieson who predeceased her on July 11, 1984. She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Cindy and Michael Murphy of Poughkeepsie and Candace and Rick Orbacz of Lakeland, FL; and her grandchildren, Heather Anne Murphy, Trevor James Murphy, Casey Louis Murphy, Ryan Taylor Boyce and Kyle Jeffrey Boyce. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Gordon Wells, and her daughter, Jennifer Boyce, on October 20, 2009.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Interment will be on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 11am at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 11am at the New Hackensack Reformed Church, 1580 Route 376, Wappingers Falls with Rev. Keith Tamlyn officiating.
