MOUNT PLEASANT, SC – Narcisa T. Whitten, 52, a resident of South Carolina for the last 5 years, died at home surrounded by her family on September 13, 2021 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She had previously lived in Hopewell Junction, NY.
Born in the Philippines on July 1, 1969, Narcisa was the daughter of the late Sotero and Aurea (Cruz) Tiburcio. She proudly served in the US Air Force during Operation Desert Storm.
On May 16, 1992 in New York, she married Walter A. Whitten whom she had met while serving in the US Air Force. He survives at home after almost 30 years of marriage. She is also survived by her children, Adam Whitten, Danielle Whitten, 1st Lt. US Air Force, and Victoria Whitten; 7 brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 5-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 9:45 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
