Nathalie Ellen Hackett, a longtime resident of Fort Pierce, FL, formerly of Putnam Valley and Yonkers, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, March 22, 2026 in Wappingers Falls. She was 88.
She was born on November 25, 1937 and was raised in Yonkers, where she graduated from Gorton High School. Nathalie cherished spending time with her family and friends. She had natural artistic talents which were evident in her paintings, ceramics and crafts. She had a passion for Mahjong and enjoyed spending time with her weekly Mahjong Club. Nathalie was a parishioner of St. Helen's Church in Vero Beach, FL.
On September 12, 1959, she married James E. Hackett at St. Denis Church in Yonkers. She was predeceased by her husband on August 23, 2017.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Mitchell & her husband Frank of Wappingers Falls; her son, Kevin Hackett & his wife Beth of Basking Ridge, NJ; her son, Michael Hackett & his wife Missy of Charlotte, NC; her son, Brian Hackett of Midland, NC; her grandchildren: Patrick Mitchell & his wife Annie, Caitlin Sample & her husband Christopher, Taylor Hackett, Lauren Hackett, Alexandra Hackett, Connor Hackett, and Kayleigh Hackett; her great-grandchildren, Brayden Ciralli, Henry Mitchell, Rory Mitchell, and Hayes Mitchell; in addition to many other loving family members.
In addition to her husband, Nathalie was also predeceased by her mother Nathalie (Farrell) Gallagher, step-father Bernard Gallagher and father Joseph Coyle.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00am on Saturday, April 11 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill, NY. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 209 Truman Avenue, Yonkers, NY.
