Nazareth Flory, Sr., 71, a resident of Wappingers Falls for 18 years and formerly of Mahopac , died on August 29, 2013 at the Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Flushing on April 1, 1942, he was the son of Frank Joseph and the late Frances Amato Flory. On August 8, 1964, Nazareth married Patricia Donoghue at Blessed Sacrament Church in Bayside.
He was self employed as a furniture maker with his company Creative Furniture. He was an avid Yankee, UMass Basketball and Giants fan and he loved his motorcycles.
In addition to his loving wife of over 45 years, Nazareth is survived by his children, Nazareth and his wife Diane of Beekman, Frank and his wife Christine of Hopewell Junction, and Nicole Kellogg and her husband Derek of Amherst, MA; his father Frank of Fishkill; his grandchildren, Erin, Sophia, Isabella and Olivia Flory, and Maximus Kellogg; his brother and sister, Gasper “Jerry” and Prudence Flory of Mahopac, and Phyllis Mackin of Fishkill; his brother in law, Gregory Donoghue; and his nephews, Jerry, Jr. and Jamy Flory, and Jimmy and Lance Mackin.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 11 am-2 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
