FISHKILL – Nicholas Peter Belowch, Jr., 67, died peacefully on June 27, 2022 at home. A resident of Fishkill since 2010, he previously lived in Suffern and Peekskill.

Born on September 22, 1954 in Suffern, Nicholas was the son of the late Nicholas and Agnes (Billy) Belowch. He was a 1972 graduate of Suffern High School and earned his degree in Occupational Therapy from State University of New York in 2005. Nicholas had been employed as an occupational therapist for Montrose VA Medical Center since 1998. He retired two years ago.

Nicholas was previously a parishioner at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern. He enjoyed reading, gardening, bowling, playing softball, and cooking.

Nicholas is survived by his brothers, Michael J. Belowch and his wife Tammy of Wurtsboro, John J. Belowch of Wurtsboro, and Steven A. Belowch of Wurtsboro; his best friend, Nancy Murphy, formerly of Peekskill; and many cousins.
