Obituary

Beekman – Nicholas Joseph Giordano, 94, died on September 13, 2022 at his home.

Born in Yonkers on November 4, 1927, he was the son of Nicholangelo and Giovannina (Baldassare) Giordano. Nicholas proudly served our country in the US Navy during World War II and Korean Wars. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union and worked for many years in the Parts Department of Defeo Cadillac of Yonkers, NY. He also worked for many years in catering with Newman & Leventhal in Manhattan.

Nicholas was a parishioner of St. Denis Church and also attended St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church. He was a member of the Widow and Widowers Group, and the Beekman Seniors.

On April 16, 1955 at Mount Carmel Church in Yonkers, Nicholas married Adelaide Aitoro who predeceased him on January 23, 2001. He was also predeceased by his great-granddaughter, Quinn; and his siblings, Lucretia Vitiello, Catherine Pantaleo, Michael Giordano, Nancy Rossi, Morris Giordano and Lawrence Giordano.

Nicholas is survived by his daughters, Patricia Gasparre and her husband Louis, and Maryanne Giordano and her boyfriend Steve; his grandchildren, Jason Gasparre and girlfriend Lauren, Gillian Benvenuto and husband Al, Adam Gasparre and wife Jamie, Nicholas Gasparre and wife Kellie, AJ Prestamo and girlfriend Jessica, Andrew Prestamo and girlfriend Lexi; his great-grandchildren, Isabella, Ivan, Natalie and Ava; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Nicholas is also survived by his very Special Lady Friend, Joan Lee.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Nicholas' home healthcare workers who allowed him to live comfortably and safely in his home for the last six years. They are like family to all of us and cared for our Dad as if he was their own. They loved him very much and the feeling was mutual. Thank you Amabilia Hernandez, Kerri-Kuhn Bodin, and Lisseth Aguilar.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
