Nicholas Tyler Khuns, 30, a lifelong area resident, passed away on September 8, 2021.
Born on September 23, 1990 in Peekskill, Nicholas was the son of David Khuns Sr. and Rosemarie Grant Khuns.
Nicholas was a 2009 graduate of John Jay High School and served our country in the United States Army. He enjoyed playing video games, had a good soul and was a great friend to everyone he met. He loved his family more than anything and enjoyed anime, wrestling, and scary movies.
Survivors include his father, David Khuns Sr. and stepmother Jeanne Khuns of Conway, SC; his mother, Rosemarie Grant Khuns of Hopewell Junction; his siblings, David Khuns, Jr of Fishkill, Kristen Khuns (Michael Pavelock) of Poughkeepsie, Kevin Calnan of Vallejo, CA, Kasey Calnan of Beacon; his nephews, Michael Pavelock, Jr and Maverick Pavelock; his aunts and uncles, Timothy Khuns (Annie) of Milton, Stephen Khuns (Kathy) of Hopewell Junction, and Heidi Khuns of Newark Valley. Nicholas was predeceased by his grandparents, Patricia Dullea Khuns in 2016, Edward Khuns, Jr in 2020, Ernestina Grant in 1989; his uncle, Edward Khuns III in 2021; and his cousin, Edward Khuns IV in 2020.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1 to 3 at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 3pm with Pastor Michael Mura.
