LAGRANGEVILLE - Nicholas J. Lacerra, 66, an área resident for 28 years and formerly of the Bronx, died on November 5, 2023 at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx.

Born in Manhattan on March 25, 1957, he was the son of Joseph and Vivian (Conti) Lacerra. Nick was a man of all trades, owning and operating Lacerra Contacting LLC. Although he loved to work, nothing meant more to him than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

On October 26, 1995 in Wappingers Falls, Nick married Ilene Appel who survives at home. He is also survived by his children and their spouses, Billy and Rose, Denise and Edward, Robert and Julie, Brenda and Richie, and Lisa and Mike; his grandchildren, Ashley, Austin, Arianna, Alessandra, Billy, Riley, Brielle, Bentley, Bradley, Theodore and Brody; his brother, Joseph Lacerra; and many nieces and nephews. He was looking forward to the birth of his twelfth grandchild in February.

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his siblings, Carmine, Joann, Roseanne, Phyllis and George.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
